a lazy afternoon

on a dreadful, grey afternoon.... 3 girls got into a hyundai getz and drove to ann siang hill to eat yummy food during happy hour

the order was:
a platter of cold cuts
half dozen of delicious escargots
an order of croque moiseur
sides of olives

2 glasses of red wine
a glass of magarita

of course we were thinking of our darling that introduced us to this place :) but he's too far away to come and join us

and then, it was off to telok ayer... where i was shown this little known singapore secret

and on top of books, they had....

typewriters! old school ones of course

they were having a polaroid exhibition in the middle of all the books! everyone who participated needed to take photos of 10 similar items

gluttony!!

been off to sinful BANGKOK........

eat, sleep and most importantly shop!!!!

too much money has been spent and too much fat/calories put back on :p

6 full days of pure gluttony

had tons of fun with my girlfriends

stayed up late talking about life

shopping around till our legs were sore and wallets empty

and ate till we were stuffed stuffed stuffed

thankfully i haf my aunt there.... got to see my cousins and play with their new dog, snowy! snowy's the best dog on earth, a sweet sweet dog.... i want her... haha i actually miss the dog! on top of my cousins too of course

its such a good thing to haf an aunt in bangkok, coz of her we know where to shop and eat yummy yummy food. and not worry about our accomodation :) i heart family

it was a wonderful trip

how is it possible that i'm affected so much by people especially since ive been abroad for such a long period already.

thinking about it i guess its true, im slipping back to my home mentality.... been back for too long this time. thank you my friend for putting things into perspective for me

like he said, just coz im more proactive doesnt mean that i shd expect the same frm people arnd me.... everyone has different priorities in their lives and im ready to change mine.

today's been a long long day........
woke up with a smile on my face but after that it just went down the tub
i think spore's bad for me

no more alcohol

that's my new aim.... no more drinking for me!
haha rite..... everyone's placing bets already as to when i'll haf my next drink


i've been pretty much out sick.... bed rest the whole of last week in hope to be better for my darling old fart's last weekend in spore before leaving for melborne


friday nite was spent at a jap buffet before heading off to watch transformers and saturday was off to butter....... and sunday was spent recovering :)


goodness me when i say that there were so many people at the art lounge that i knew.... old fart's too popular plus others too.... so lets just say that i dint remember the later part of the nite, made a drunk dialling session that i was reminded of the next day and prob will never be able to live it down and ive been accused of being the evil person to cap off everyone's nite sober :)

nothing beats a nite out with friends all put into one place.....

it started out really stressful coz i had to attend a dinner that my cousin said was smart casual so i was dressed smart casual only to reach the dinning area with all the ladies dressed in gowns!!!!! well done rite? to top it off i was placed on a table where i did not know anyone there... thankfully there was one other person 2 years older to entertain me and help make dinner more bearable

then it was off to butter..... wasnt really in the mood to dress up since it was pouring today... it was their vip nite or something rather so everyone was there!!!! it was fun fun fun coz every where i turned there were pple i recognized!!!! even met up with old classmates :)

exhastion is setting in........ after a full day wrapping door gifts for an event tmr and then preparing for sukiyaki.....

had gina, sarah, leo and sinclair over for din din, nothing fancy just simple food

while i got a book frm gina.... and leo brought the alcohol of course heh

and then it was off to hycienda...... since we had to fit all 5 of us in sarah's little car.... leo had to drive while the 3 of us sat at the back for the first time ever! her car din go too fast coz 1stly it had to fit all of us plus we were all full from dinner

sunday brunch

so guess who i spent most of my sunday with?

it started out as a really interesting sunday early early morning at butter factory.... actually no by midnite sunday we were still at winebar! it was just the 3 of us! the rarity of it all..... since sinclair's been back and johan arnd, we hardly got together just as the 3 of us so it was fun... 1 for 1 apple martini all nite thou i wasnt dressed at all for a nite out clubbing! then gina was off to substation for her artsy things and sarah and i went off to butter to say hi to the guys which ended up being a really long hi haha. lets just leave it that as usual, i was just sitting back entertaining myself with the guy's version of a cat fight, each trying to catch sarah's attention!

and then......
we met up for sunday brunch!!!
the plan was to go to ps cafe, but i guess we werent the only ones who planned on that coz that place was PACKED.........

and who ever said the world was small, i say singapore is smaller......... met pple frm my past that took me by surprise, a good/nice surprise. it had been ages since i last saw them and it was good, awkward but good i think?

so it was off to marmalade..... but we were told we had to wait a whole hour!!!! we were off again... but not before i showed sarah the shoes i lust. got an approval from her! yay

now it was between cedele at wheelock or canele's at robertson.... canele's it was!!!!! and thankfully we choose that coz the food came out yummy and the most important of all, it was quiet! phew.... we enjoyed our brunch peacefully at little ol' reliable canele

we din haf gina today coz she was being a good girl spending her sunday with family and all.....

i had an inspiration today.... WHEN we move in, we're going to get a 4 bedroom apartment.... 3 for us to stay in and the 4th is to be our walkin closet! and also, rite by our front door, we're going to haf a nice big long mirror too! hehe... i really hope we get to stay with each other in a few years........... ok maybe we'll make it a 5 bedroom instead for johan to come stay since he did/will design the apartment...... haha.

its a really nice dream to look forward to

with such a happy thot i end this week and start the next happy :)

johan's left singapore............................. i dont haf my #1 boyfriend with me anymore. he actually got on a plane and left

no more crazy martini nites
no more nites spent with the girls at ps cafe laughing continuously
no more french bar
no more meeting up spontaneously
no more champange
no more watching dvds
no more hugs
no more random gossiping
no more ciggie breaks!
no more architectural talks
no more checking out guys with man boobs
no more canele stopovers with violet macaroons
no more having a cute guy for me to call up all the time
no more ability to just call for an emergency meeting to tell u the latest news
no more yummy lunches at marmalade

i missssss my darling.
since both my gfs are attached now, it was really nice to haf johan arnd to even it out amg us

but now when something happens i call gina, sarah and i have to stop myself from calling my 3rd darling.... coz he's no longer arnd.

its so usual for the both of us to take off and leave each other but this time is different. i dont knw when i get to next see him.... it could possibly within a few weeks or a year! a year without johan? is that possible? ive gotten so use to having him arnd in spore for the past year

Bye bye darling..... im going to miss having u arnd. the remaining summer hols of mine is going to be different
i never quite register that u were leaving even thou u kept counting down, maybe i thot that if i kept pushing it out of my mind today would never come. and even when i talked to u just before u boarded, it still din hit me, until now..................

time flies quickly and hopefully this time it will pass fast too coz then at least i know for sure i'll be heading to melb next year for ur grad!!!

but i want.............
