a long flight lies ahead this week.....

someone just commented a few days ago that i dont show the usual enthusiasm whenever im heading home

maybe im just tired after this half of the semester

maybe i was hoping that this spring break would be a little less tiring so that i can get ready for next half (but who am i kidding i need something to do)

2007 has been an interesting year.... especially for my 2 darlings




for the duration of my friendship with them, both sarah and gina hasnt travelled much. in fact i dont really remember any one of them actually leaving the country till end of last year! i've always been the one they have to send off at the airport especially now that im studying in the US.... but they've finally caught up and i think doing more exciting things overseas compared to me



it all started


last summer... these 3 crazy girls trottered off to bangkok.... to eat shop and make merry :)


then gina went off again to phuket for her bday


towards the end of 2006, miss gina made the boldest step EVER..... flying all by herself to hongkong to start a 2mth internship. even though i was there it doesnt really count coz i was having my exams so wasnt arnd anyway


then.... in jan, sarah took a weekend trip up to hongkong to visit gina... keep her company and eat up all the krispy kremes they have! haha


AND THEN the BEST of the BEST ever was them coming here... absolute madness... flying all the way here for 4 full days!


and now sarah's off to melb, aussie....... all by herself :) hehe hope she enjoys it there ;)




goodness how we all have grown since acjc days.



its really only been a week since the girls haf left but somehow it feels soooo long ago that they were here. they are really so much apart of me, of my life :)


haha in fact they are my sunshine literally and metaphorically! its madness! for the whole time they were here God has blessed us with perfect weather... just the week before it was horribly cold and now.... its utterly DREADFUL! raining non-stop and cold as hell...... they took the sunshine away when they left :(



but chances are looking good that i will haf my sunshine back soon :D

IT WAS CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so the story goes like this.... midnite of 12ve feb here.... i was waiting for my phonecall from them..... but for some odd reason i never got one so pris went to bed sad....... the next morning i never got anything from them so i was thinking where can they be? on the way to school i keep trying to call them but for once in their life their phones were switched off.... which NEVER happens and i mean NEVER. i start calling everyone i know.... where are they? have they called u? are they up to something? i thot they were on a plane here tt's y their phones were switched off but then again gina hates flying and both of them have school.... so its not possible! johan actually said that i was on weed......
so i sadly went off to class.........

after business law i was walking down towards my car when low and behold! my car was covered with BALLOONS!!!!!!!! (i would put the pic up here but i havent uploaded it yet) it was a crazy but beutiful sight :) got my laptop out from my car for my next class and trudge down to my next class. while i was waiting for it to start i normally would sit at the outdoor tables and surf the internet... this time i was trying to figure out where in the world both sarah and gina went so i checked my email... checked sarah's blog and she actually had an entry on the 12!!! so i was thinking where in the world can they be? when suddenly..... i see bombay on my shoulders thru the reflection of my lcd screen!

gina's faggot rabbit is on my shoulders! it cant be!!!!! that's not possible!

i thot i was dreaming! i really did!!!!!! i just sat still for one more second turned back and there they were!!!!!!!! it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! really no words could ever describe my feelings then and even now as im thinking back.

so for past 5 days ive been trying to cram all of LA for them..... it was crazy!!! i never had so much fun here since coming here! we shopped shopped and shopped even more! i brought them to all the places that i usually go to, to shop and to eat! hehe ive put on soooo much weight since they got here i need to start on a diet again! hahahaha

our day would begin with me lugging myself off the bed to morning class, coming home to wake them up and bringing them for lunch, after we would go shopping till dinner time and since by that time all shops would have been closed, i would drive them around LA to see sights till pass 1 then i'll go home crash while the girls stay up till goodness wat time due to their jet-lag

day 1 (feb 12)
lunch was at Geoffrey's
shopped at Melrose
dinner at Bel-Air hotel

day 2 (feb 13)
lunch at hide.... sarah loved is here and it was gina's first time eating so much sashimi!

day 3 (feb 14)
lunch at in&out
walked around rodeo drive and robertson
dinner at the grove
watched music and lyrics at the grove too!

day 4 (feb 15)
lunch at la brea bakery
drove them around la brea and melrose
dropped them off at topanga mall for all their last min shopping
dinner at nobu.... we order 4 of their spring rolls dessert coz sarah liked it sooooo much! heh

and now they've gone home........... it was a wonderful 4 crazy days

the tale of my birthday! Part 1

it started out on saturday 10th feb 2007...... patrick made burgers for dinner from scratch and it was yummy!!! the burger even came with his version of in-&-out's animal style sauce :)this was karl's version of swedish burger.....

the drinks were ready for consumption........ and signs were put up

my darling cousin shanley who came all the way to celebrate my bday with me even thou she din know anyone..... she was the artist of the signs and dj for the nite

the nite ended with people all sloshed and passing out all over my place :) i guess that was a party successful.

one thing i learnt here was that people here cant take their alcohol.... i have pretty much more than half left from the party and everyone was drunk! could have saved so much more......

i have the bestest of the bestest best friends on earth!!!!!!!!!

blood drive

today was the day i was suppose to donate my blood. nicole got me to sign up with her to join the school's blood drive.... walking towards the building i started thinking to myself... i already hate needles y the hell am i going to donate blood?!
hehe but at the end of the day i got a deferment letter stating that im not eligible for donation! hahaha phew
1st reason is coz im on antibiotics for my skin
2nd is coz thks to my yearly trip back to my kampung in indonesia.... im not allowed to donate coz its a malaria striken place or something like that heh

so instead nicole took it by herself :)
the needle was HUGE!!!!!!!!!

but today was one of those days when the weather had a mind of its own....

this was up in school... all clear and sunny

and this was just 2 mins down from the slope of school....

it was all foggy and u're only limited to a few meters ahead vision!
all this at the same time! madness rite?

if i had stayed up in school i wouldnt know that there was this massive fog on the pacific coast highway... but i was looking for lunch and was sorta looking for thai along the PCH. but coz of the fog we decided to stay arnd the area rather than risk the horrible drivers on the roads... so i had jap instead. it really wasnt too bad quite yummy in fact :)

oh and today i walked to my first class only to find that the whole first floor of the building where my class is in was flooded! thankfully my shoes din get ruined... and throughout class, firefighters kept interupting to vacuum up all the water that after the floors were relatively dry. i would haf been pissed if i had reached school only to find out my first class of teh day was cancelled! i would haf had dragged my ass out of bed for nothing.....

i know this is a totally random post but i just spent my whole weekend studying for a business law test today and now im spending my entire afternoon catching up on homework that i was suppose to do over the weekend :p the wonderful life of a student

today afternoon activity is me going to costco..... its the american wholesaler supermarket... everything there is sold alot cheaper than everywhere else in the US but it also comes in MEGA HUGE sizes too. essentially unless u're feeding a whole army, u really shdnt be shopping here.

BUT not only is the food cheap........... so is the alcohol!!!!

ok so i know it doesnt really look that big but all the bottles are 1.75L
my taste hasnt gone down but the smirnoff is for vodka jelly not to be drunk straight hehe

i think in all the alcohol has cost me $130 USD hahahah its MADNESS!!!!!!! all are welcome to join my bday party!
see gina there's a WHOLE 1.75L of bailey's for u!!!!!!!!

my car was packed full to the BRIM!!!!!! the pics abv were taken after things were already unloaded... essentially my whole boot was packed that i cldnt use my rear view mirror!
