every year as December rolls around, i take every opportunity to play christmas songs on loop from Nov onwards...
lunch on 25th Dec is what i really look forward to all 364 days of the year when my cousin-in-law goes crazy cooking... this is one feast i'm not slaving over so i generally starve myself the day before in total anticipation.
as always, he doesn't disappoint!
the menu for the day had all sorts of meat possible - a 10kg turkey, beef, lamb, pork, ham, sausages wrapped in bacon & salmon for show really
trimmings include - roasted potatoes tossed in duck fat, califlower gratin, brussel sprouts, stuffing, mash potato, 2 sorts of salad

this was my attempt #1 of putting bits of everything on my plate
with all that food and copious, free-flowing wine, pris was a very happy camper... unfortunately i had to rush home, happy high and stuffed, to make my own turkey. i've decided to swear off christmas dinner. 2 years in a row, running off after this feast to cook is not a task for the faint hearted
now to start counting down it'll dec 25, 2013 :(
